In an inspiring display of active citizenship, students from the Evening Gymnasium (Greek type of secondary school) with Lyceum Classes in Leros, under the guidance of educator Mr. Athanasakis Konstantinos, have taken the initiative to restore and beautify their schoolyard.
This project forms part of the school’s broader educational efforts to cultivate responsibility, environmental awareness, and teamwork among students. Through hands-on work, dedication and collaboration, the students cleaned the area, tended to plants, and transformed the space into a more welcoming environment for their daily school life.
The Leros Evening High School with Lyceum Classes, continues to invest in initiatives that promote student participation in improving their learning environment, while simultaneously strengthening community spirit and personal responsibility.
This grassroots effort serves as a model of how educational institutions can empower students to become active contributors to their community’s wellbeing.
