Leros: Visit by the social worker of the Community Centre at Bellenio Gymnasium

As part of the Active Citizen initiatives, the social worker from the Community Centre, Mrs. Maria Pavlidi, visited Bellenio Gymnasium (Greek secondary school), following an invitation from the school’s principal, Mrs. Maria Papafoti.

The aim of the meeting was to inform the students about the role of the social worker.

Additionally, experiential workshops were conducted with the following objectives:

• Introducing vulnerable social groups,
• Cultivating empathy and respect for diversity,
• Reflecting on stereotypes and discrimination.

The students were given the opportunity to express their opinions and emotions in a creative manner.
