“The future of our island is bright with such young people,” says Mayor Kottakis – On Wednesday morning (May 15), the Mayor of Leros, Mr. Timotheos Kottakis, welcomed a special group of visitors to his office, students of the High School (General Lyceum) of Leros. The students briefed the Mayor on their environmental initiatives aimed at protecting the island’s natural surroundings.
During the meeting, the students presented their ongoing projects, demonstrating their strong commitment to environmental conservation. Mayor Kottakis expressed his admiration for their dedication and active involvement, while also informing them about the Leros municipality’s own initiatives in the same field.
“My office was filled with smiles and hope today,” the Mayor Kottakis remarked, noting his pride in both the students and their educators. He concluded by stating, “Leros should be proud to have such young people,” and extended a heartfelt thanks for their important efforts.
