Leros: Motorist arrested after collision – Τwo held for alleged drink-driving

According to a police bulletin from the General Regional Police Directorate of the South Aegean, two individuals were arrested on Leros on Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 August 2025 for breaches of the Highway Code.

In the first incident, a 37-year-old foreign national was involved in a road traffic collision while driving a private car and was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

In a separate incident, a 53-year-old Greek national was detained after being stopped while driving a private car under the influence of alcohol.

Case files have been opened in relation to the respective offences, and both individuals have been referred to the competent public prosecutor.
