PROGRAM OF THE CELEBRATION OF THE POLIOUCHOS OF SAINT MARINA & SAINT GABRIELIA
Wednesday, July 16, 2025: • 7:30 p.m.: Great Solemn Polyarchieratical Vespers, with Artoklasia.
• 9:00 p.m.: Litany of the Holy Icon of Saint Marina, through the streets of the city and at the homonymous port.
Thursday, July 17, 2025
• 7:30 a.m.: Polyarchieratical Divine Liturgy.
• 6:00 p.m.: Holy Intercession of our Holy Mother Gabrielia before Her Tomb, at the Holy Monastery of Panagia of Kastro Leros, by His Eminence Metropolitan of Leros, Kalymnos and Astypalaia, Mr. Paisios.
• 7:00 p.m. Arrival of dignitaries at the Holy Metropolitan Church “Annunciation of the Theotokos” of Leros and reception of the Holy Cara, the Holy Relics of Leros and the Holy Icon of the Saint. Great Solemn
Polyarchaeological Vespers.
• 9:00 p.m.: Holy Litany of the Holy Cara, the Holy Relics and the Holy Icon of our Holy Mother Gabrielia, from the Holy Metropolitan Church “Annunciation of the Theotokos” to the central square Platanos, preceded
by the Philharmonic of the Municipality of Leros, the Holy Cross and the Holy Hexapterygi, where in front of the City Hall there will be a prayer and artoklasia.
• 10:00 pm: Holy Vigil at the Holy Metropolitan Church “Annunciation of the Theotokos”.
Friday, July 18, 2025 • 07:00 am: Morning Prayer at the Holy Metropolitan Church “Annunciation of the Theotokos” of Leros.
• 08:15 am: Hierarchical Chorostasy – Triarchial Divine Liturgy.
Saturday, July 19, 2025
• 07:00 am: Return and deposition of the Holy Icon, the Holy Cara and the Holy Relics of our Saint Gabriel of Mercy, at the Holy Monastery of Panagia tou Kastro, and will be followed by “Orthros and Divine
Liturgy led by the Archbishop.
The Leros Police Department is requested to ensure that order is maintained during the procession of the Holy Icons of Saint Marina and Saint Gabriel as scheduled.
