Urgent Repairs Sought for the Alinda Coastal Road on Leros

Press Release – The situation that has developed on the coastal road of Alinto (before the Koulouri coast) is now alarming and requires immediate intervention by the Municipal Authority.

As shown in this image, there is extensive undermining of the road surface due to sea erosion, resulting in voids under the asphalt and stripping away the road's support base. This phenomenon, if not treated in time, poses a serious risk.

We should not wait until the bad happens to act. Our recent experience in Drymonas has already shown that delay costs many times over – both financially and socially.

I request from the Municipal Authority:

Immediate autopsy by the technical services.

Taking temporary protection measures (marking, immediate reinforcement).

Prevention is not a luxury, it is an obligation. We have to protect the safety of citizens and the functionality of an area

Immediate action is needed.
