The family of Maria and Manolis Mathioudakis demonstrated their practical support for the Leros Hospital, contributing at their own expense to the hosting of a cardiologist at the "Nefeli" hotel.
The doctor's presence on the island made a significant contribution to serving the citizens of Leros, strengthening the effort made to provide better health services to the residents and visitors of the island.
Speaking to Leros News, Manolis Mathioudakis emphasized that it is everyone's duty to support the Leros Hospital.
"It is the duty of all of us to support the Hospital of our island. There is a daily struggle by the Administration of the Foundation, so that we have the best possible care for the residents of our island, but also for our visitors. We have a very remarkable Governor, Mr. Stamatis Kardassi, who has impressed me with his dedication to his work.
In this fight, I and my family declare "present", with whatever powers we have, for the benefit of Public Health. United we can face any challenge. It is important for our tourism product to have a strong and worthy Hospital, as this advertises our island even more.
On this occasion, I would like to thank all the medical and nursing staff of our Hospital for the struggle they give every day, so that we have high-standard care on our island, as well as the Governor and the Board of Directors of the Foundation for the effort they make to staff the Hospital with doctors", said Mr. Mathioudakis.
For his part, the Governor of the Leros Hospital, Mr. Stamatis Kardassis, publicly thanked the family of Manolis Mathioudakis for their support to the Leros Hospital.
