Kalymnos, Leros and Samos Ferry Route Remains Pending

Important developments are recorded in the tender for the barren public service coastal lines, which concerns the route period until 31 October 2029.

The Minister of Shipping and Insular Policy Vassilis Kikilias approved the minutes of evaluation of the financial offers for the lines in which no preliminary appeals are pending.

Of particular interest to Leros is the line Kalymnos – Leros – Lipsi – Patmos – Arkoi – Agathonisi – Pythagoreio Samos, which has not yet been sanctioned, as the adjudication of a preliminary appeal before EADISY is pending.

Five bids had been submitted for this specific line, while KIARA N.E. qualified for the next stage. of the SEAJETS group, with the ship Aqua Jewel.

Until the process is completed, the line continues to be served by "SAONISOS" of SAOS Ferries.

At the same time, ANE Mastichariou was awarded the line Mastichari Kos - Leros and return, with two routes per week during the entire route period. The itineraries will be operated with the "OLYMPIOS HERMIS", with a rent of 5,100 euros per route.

In the same tender, lines connecting Kalymnos with Astypalaia, Pserimos, Mastichari and Kos were also awarded.

The final decision on the Kalymnos - Leros - Samos line is expected after the consideration of the pending appeal.
